Sustainability

What matters to us, is that our people and our environment come first.

Our products are ethically made.

We know all of our suppliers and makers by name, they are part of the Saturday family. We love to help create great places for them to work. We regularly ensure we are all following and maintaining our ethical standards and guidelines and are registered for ethical trading.

We are on a Sustainability journey.

Currently within our design process we use digital technology to design and sample our products to reduce greenhouse gasses that impact the air quality and our earth created through excess shipping, air traffic and freight transportation.

We work to zero waste and ensure that we only buy enough fabric we need to use for a single collection and we then use natural dyes to colour the fabrics different colours. This is why all our collections are limited edition and we don't work to fast fashion trends.

We transport and store all of our products in satchels which are made from 100% biodegradable and compostable materials. These bags are replacing old Polybags and are now made from corn starch, PLA (made from corn) and PBAT (Polybutyrate Adipate Terephthalate). We then recycle these through compost bins.

We have partnered with Future Neutral who has installed a one-click carbon offset option at checkout. Customers who shop Saturday lingerie can offset their purchase by contributing to United Nations certified projects, and locally a partnership with Australian non-profit Greenfleet to reduce greenhouse gas emissions (the most common of which is carbon dioxide) and remove (offset) CO2e from the atmosphere. Some of the most common examples include planting trees and switching to renewable energy sources.

Our lingerie is delivered in lingerie boxes that are 100% recyclable and can be recycled through your household recycle bins, as they are made of biodegradable paper and card materials.

We have launched PROJECT 360 a first of its kind lingerie recycling initiative that allows women to send their old Saturday bras back to us and we'll dismantle, recycle and turn them into garment wash bags to increase the lifespan of your next bra and reduce household waste.

We give back $1 from every sale.
Through the i=change platform we donate $1 of every sale + you choose where it goes! We encourage continual support towards 3 life-changing projects that Saturday the Label endorses. Where the customer can actively choose which charity the donation goes. Save the reef, clothe the venerable or donate to female cancer research. Giving a powerful purpose to your purchase, that goes far beyond the power of our product.

We are continually looking for ways to better our products, packaging and processes, to support and uphold our partners who produce them and minimize our impact on the earth. We see this as a constant work in progress and always strive to improve.

We welcome any questions you may have on our production or business processes and values. Please do get in touch, we’d love to hear from you.
